6.

Ohm’s law states that the electric current is proportional to the voltage and is inversely proportional to the resistance. The non-Ohmic conductor does not obey Ohm's law.The examples of non-Ohmic conductors are filament lamp,semiconductor devices like diodes,transistors,thyristors etc.

7.

Potential difference, V - V

= Work done/Charge = W/Q

V = 40V, V = 25V

Charge on 5 x 10 electrons, Q = charge on one electron x number of electrons = 1.6 x 10 x 5 x 10 = 8 coloumb

Therefore, the work done, W = (V - V ) x Q

= (40 - 25) x 8

= 120 J.

8.

Because nichrome has high melting point when compared to other resistive alloys. So consequently it has capability to withstand to high temperatures which are generally produced due to the inherent nature of resistors.

Hope it helps!
