Q. How you can say Amelia was selfish

yes it is true that amelia i.e mrs slater was a selfish lady. she was bussy in bargaining with her own sister and was least bothered about her dead grandfather. In the story also, she tries to own grandpa's clock and bureau along with her husband without letting anyone know. This reveals her selfish and boastful character.

Amelia was selfish. She want all the things of her grandfather after his death . She don't want that her sister would take this things. He also change the drawer of her grandfather with the older one in her room before her sister will arrive
