how to determine
1) the number of equal lines on the extended line which is an acute angle.
2) the point from which the parallel line to the base of the given triangle should be drawn.​

The number of lines on the extended line is same as the greater number given on the scale factor.
The parallel line to the base of the triangle is drawn from the denominator
