Construction...
• Rectangular coil of insulated copper wire.
•Two large magnets.
•Split rings.
•Brushes
•Galvanometer
•Axle
Working of AC generator......
When axle is rotated
According to Flemings right hand rule direction of current , in armature coil A to B is upward.
And in C to D the direction of current is downward.
Direction of brushes -: B1 to B2
After half rotation direction of current in brushes, changed its B2 to B1.
Note : In AC generator the direction of induced current is from B1 to B2 and then after half rotation it's direction is from B2 to B1 .
Therefore, it is called Alternating Current Generator .
Working of DC generator...
In armature coil AB
After half rotation
According to Flemings right hand rule direction of current is upward.
Now in CD
direction of current is downward
After half rotation
Direction of current in brushes ➡B1 to B2
Hope this will help you...
