Class 10 SCIENCE!

Can anyone explain me in easy words - extraction of iron from iron ores!
This topic is really bugging me!

Iron comes in the middle of the reaction series, so it is extracted from its ore through a process known as Thermite reaction. In this reaction, the iron oxide(the ore) is heated with aluminium (a more reactive metal) in order to displace iron from its oxide. In the end, we get iron in molten form and Aluminium oxide as a bi-product
