1) Lencho is described as 'an ox of a man' to denote his strength and will power to work. He used to toil very hard, in order to cultivate and harvest his crops. Therefore, he is called so.
2) The Act of Charity was the post master's work of collecting 70 pesos and then sending them to LENCHO by signing as GOD.
3) The Employees' of the post office were CROOKS according to LENCHO
4) Lencho asked GOD not to send money through mail because Lencho had asked god to send him 100 pesos but in return he got only 70 pesos . Lencho thought that the post office employees must have taken the remaining 30 pesos so in afraid of loosing the money again Lencho had requested god to send the money not through the mail.
