Fossil Fuels :

Fossil fuels are those fuels which are formed by the natural processes such as anaerobic decomposition of buried dead organisms. These fossils fuels contain a high amount of carbon.

Types of fossil fuels :

  1. Coal
  2. Petroleum
  3. Natural gas

Disadvantages of fossil fuels :

  1. They are present in a limited quantity.
  2. Due to the high amount of carbon they causes a lot of pollution.
  3. These are non - renewable resources.
  4. Burning of fossil fuels can cause acid rain.
  5. On burning fossil fuels it produces sulphur dioxide nitrogen dioxide carbon dioxide nd water. Though water doesn't causes any harm.
  6. Carbon dioxide increases the amount of greenhouse effect......
