Zn+ H2SO4---->ZnSO4+H2^

Zn+2HCl--->ZnCl2+H2^

Zn+NaCl--->no reaction cause zinc is under sodium in the reactivity series and cannot displace sodium.

Zn+NaOH--> no reaction. same reason as above.

him buddy I am. also a tenth grader. you can ask me any doubts about any subject except geography. I will surely help. ☺

Hello Dear ✔️✔️↙️↙️

Q) What happens when zinc granules are treated with dilute solution of H,SO, HCI, HNO, Naci and NaOH, also write the chemical equations if reaction occurs.

Answer :

(i) With dilute H2SO4 : H2 gas is evolved.

Zn + H2SO4 → ZnSO4 +H2 ↑

(ii) With dilute HCI : H2 gas is evolved.

Zn + HCl → ZnCl2 + H2 ↑

(iii) With dilute HNO3 : H2 gas is evolved.

Zn + 2HNO3 → Zn(NO3)2 + H2 ↑

(iv) With dilute NaCI :

No chemical reaction takes place, because Zn is less reactive than Na.

(v) With dilute NaOH :

Sodium zincate is formed and H2 gas is evolved. Zn + 2NaOH → Na2ZnO2 +H2 ↑
