Answer:

Given - A ∆ABC which has two points D and E on its side AB and AC such that DE||BC.

AE=2cm

AD=3cm

BD=4.5cm

To find - CE=?

Solution - In ∆ ABC , we have

DE||BC

Then , AD/BD = AE/ CE. ( according to thale's theorem)

3/4.5 = 2/ CE

CE = 2×4.5/3

CE = 9/3

CE = 3 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer:-

_________

 \frac{ad}{bd} =  \frac{ae}{ce }  \\  \frac{3}{4.5}  =  \frac{2}{ce }  \\ ce =  \frac{4.5 \times 2}{3}  =  \frac{9}{3}  = 3

CE=3cm
