A box contains 90 discs which are numbered from 1 to 90 . if one disc is selected at random from the box ,find the probability that it bears (1) a two-digit number.(2) a perfect square number. (3) a number divisible by 5.

suppose you drop a die at random on the rectangular region shown in figure. what is the probability that it will land inside the circle with diameter 1 m

1)Favourable outcomes=81
Total no. of outcome =90
Probability =81/90=9/10
2) Favourable outcome=9
Total no. of outcomes =9/90=1/10
3)Favourable outcomes =18
Total no. of outcomes=90
Probability =18/90=1/5

1)Two digit number outcomes= 81

total discs= 90

probability=81/90=9/10


2)perfect square outcomes=9

total discs=90

probability=9/90=.1/10

3)number divisible by 5 outcomes=18

total discs=90

probability=18/90=1/5


1)two digits number=10to90

2) perfect square=1to81

3)number divisible by 5=5,10.............90
