so the length us 4m more than the width, x+4

Perimeter of a Rectangle = 2(l+w)

Half the Perimeter is = l+w

So, 36 = (x+4)+x

36 = 2x+4

2x = 36-4

2x = 32

x = 16m

Therefore the width of the garden is 16m

And the length of the garden is 16+4 = 20m
