Indian agriculture is extremely backward despite the fact that it is of significant importance in the Indian economy. Explain.

As we know more than half of India's population is dependent on agriculture but yet it is astonishing to hear that India's agriculture is backward just because our Indian government is very corrupt. The fund sent by the government to help these poor farmers are actually half eaten up by those who collect these funds to provide it to the farmers and the people who gives the report of these are also given 25-50% of the share thus wrong report is received by the government from the concerned person, so how can the government help. Moreover the literate landowners take advantage of the illiterate farmers as they don't know anything and as a result the rich landowners promise them to help financially and they tell the farmers to put their fingerprint in an agreement and in this way the farmer will eventually fall into trap and the landowner will start collecting half of the yield of the produced goods according to the agreement and the farmers at that time can't refuse also thus they are forced to pay either money or the yield and if their time to pay the landowners elapses then the landowners will take away their land and will use it for some other purpose to get more money but not agriculture because he will think that he will experience a loss during any natural calamities so he will mainly build flats or apartments and  give it away for rent and he will get a lots of profit and the farmer becomes landless. In other cases what happens is that the farmers will have land but wont have enough money for transportation and then their production will be a total waste and nothing else. These are the reasons for the failure of the adequate production of crops even though over half of the population's occupation is farming i.e. agriculture.
