Answer 1 There are three different types of faults :
Normal , Reverse , and transcurrrent ( strike - slip ) . Normal faults from where are hanging wall drops . The forces creating rivers faults are compressional, pushing the sides together . Transcurrrent or strike - slip faults have walls that move sideways not up or down .
Answer 2 Volcanic eruptions pull materials up from deep within the earth to form of various volcanic landforms , such as lava domes , Lava plateau , fissure eruptions , craters and calderas .
Answer 3 The shadow zone is the area of the earth from angular distances of 104 to 140 degrees from a given earthquake that does not receive any direct P waves . The shadow zone result from S waves being stopped entirely by the liquid core and P waves being bent ( refracted ) by the liquid core .
Answer 4 Volcano is a mountain that has Lava ( hot , liquid rock ) coming out from a Magma chamber under the ground , aur that has had that in the past . The materials include Lava , stream , gaseous sulphur compounds , ash and Broken rock peices . When there is enough pressure , the volcano erupts .
