v=10m/s
(ii) displacement at 2s:
Δx(2)=x(2)-x(0)
x(2)=18.5m and x(0)=8.5m
Therefore,
Δx(2)=18.5-8.5=10m
Similarly,
x(4)=48.5
Δx(4)=48.5-8.5=40
Δx=Δx(4)-Δx(2)
⇒40-10=30m
∴Average velocity=30/2=15m/s
