Answer:

given:-

LHS = cot²Ø

(1-cosecØ)²

=> cos²Ø × 1

sin²Ø (1 - 1/sinØ)²

=> cos²Ø × sin²Ø

sin²Ø (sinØ-1)²

=> cos²Ø ( sin²Ø gets cancelled )

(sinØ-1)²

=> cos²Ø

[-1(1-sinØ)]²

=> 1 - sin²Ø (-1² = 1)

(1 - sinØ)²

=> (1 + sinØ)(1 - sinØ)

(1 - sinØ)(1 - sinØ)

=> 1 + sinØ ( 1-sinØ gets cancelled )

1 - sinØ

=> RHS

therefore LHS = RHS
