g = gravity

h = height

r = radius

expression for the variation of g with altitude

gh = g(1- 2h / r)

= g (1 - 2 r/2 /r)

gh = g(1-1)

gh = zero

hence when the body reaches the half of the height when the acceleration due to gravity acts.
