Fluorescent lamps are better than bulbs because, they are energy efficient.
Bulb generates more heat & thus more energy is lost.

Drawbacks of CFL bulbs,
1.as CFL bulbs contains mercury in them, which is toxic metal poses a danger.
2.they produce harmful UV radiations also, which can cause environmental degradation.
