Congruent triangles =>

  • When two triangles are congruent they will have exactly the same three sides and exactly the same three angles.
  • The equal sides and angles may not be in the same position (if there is a turn or a flip), but they are there.

SAS congruence =>

  • The SAS rule states that: If two sides and the included angle of one triangle are equal to two sides and included angle of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.
  • An included angle is an angle formed by two given sides.

Congruent triangles using SAS congruence =>

(B) Δ OBA ≅ Δ ODC

( AO = OC , BO = OD , < COD = < BOA)

(C) Δ RSP ≅ Δ PQR

( < P = < R , PQ = SR , PR = PR => COMMON)

(D) Δ CBA ≅ Δ QPR

( CB = QP , < C = < Q , AB = QR )

(A) the corresponding parts are not equal thus the triangles are not congruent.

Answer : (B) , (C) , (D) are congruent by SAS congruence rule.

hope it helps !!

Answer:

a. ΔPQR & ΔMNL = PQ = MN = 2 cm

                             = QR = NL = 4 cm

                             = Angle Q = Angle N = 35°

     ∴ ΔPQR ≅ ΔMNL.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

b. ΔBOA & ΔCOD = BO = OD

                              = AO = OC

                              = Angle BOA = Angle COD

     ∴  ΔBOA ≅ ΔCOD

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

c.  ΔSRP & ΔQPR = SR = QP = 4 cm

                             = RP = PR = Common Sides

                             = Angle R = Angle P = 30°

     ∴ ΔSRP ≅ ΔQPR
