This animal story based on Lawrence's childhood memories was composed in 1919, in which he depicted rabbit; a rabbit which his father brought from the plains. They thought that the rabbit will have eaten something, as a result that he had survived. Everyone was happy, except her mother. She knew that the wild animals refused to live in the domestic surroundings. They also had experienced this, which brought storms of tears and lunatic. The writer thought that love and affection were a trespass upon it, so he decided to leave that tiny obscure cloud in the parlor, on his own, so that he could feel as if he was in a burrow.  Next morning, the narrator noticed that there were rabbit droppings everywhere. He informed his father, who returned home, that the rabbit was alive.
