Answer:

1) 5(x+4)=35

5x+20=35

by transposing

5x=35-20

5x=15

x=15/5

x=3

to check

5(3+4)=35

5(7)=35

35=35

LHS=RHS

hence,the answer is correct

2)3(x-3)=5(2x+1)

3x-9=10x+5

by transposing

3x=10x+5+9

3x=10x+14

3x-10x=14

-7x=14

x=14/-7

x=-2

to check

put x=-2

3(-2-3)=5[2(-2)+1]

now solve this equation if LHS=RHS the answer is correct

3)2n+5= 21

by transposing

2n=21-5

2n=16

n=16/2

n=8

to check

put n =8

if LHS= RHS answers is correct

4) and5) are same like above
