It is the chapter 8 of " The Case of the Sharp Eyed Jeweller" by Nicholas Bentley.

The life skills question in this chapter is about the Hobby of the narrator.

The narrator considers his hobby 'out of ordinary'. Why does he think so?

He thinks so because his hobby is to study crimes and criminals. It is an unusual hobby. People usually don't have such hobbies. So he considers it something 'out of ordinary'.

According to him, his hobby requires a sound use of common sense and a very keen observation and also let him know about different mentalities and life experiences. This makes your analysis strong and a great life skill.

It is a story written by Nicolas Bentley and the narrator of the story is William Morris whose hobby is to study crimes and criminals.

He thinks his hobby as 'out of ordinary' and unique as usually people do not have such hobbies and it's unusual.

His hobby requires keen observation of people activities and common sense should be used to the full length.

Narrator is a jewellery shop owner.

His assistant in the shop displays antique rings to a lady customer and after a while the ring is found missing.

He checked the customer's trousers and even they are taken to the inner room for through frisking.

The shop assistant failed to find the ring but the narator found the ring from the left side pocket of the lady's coat.

She tricked to get the ring with the help of chewing gum very cleverly and put it in her coat's pocket.

He guessed it to be there as he noticed the lady had put her hand once in the left side pocket.

He was detective and he had used his common sense to the fullest.
