Tyle: Your Highness, I have pained a picture of Our Lady, the Virgin, in her royal robes. And, I thought that this picture will please you and will adore one of the walls of Your beautiful palace. (Presents the painting of Our Lady, the Virgin to the Archduke).
Archduke: (standing up on his feet, moved towards Tyl and embraced and kissed him) The picture is splendid and I loved it. Ask what you want in return of this splendid painting?
Tyl: Your Highness, if you are pleased with this painting, will you keep me as your court painter, as I came to know that your court painter have passed away recently.
Archduke: I shall be delighted to make you my court painter. (directing Tyl towards the empty chair of the court painter).
