(2x-1)/3 – (6x-2)/5 = 1/3

By taking LCM for 3 and 5 which is 15,

[(2x-1)×5]/15 – [(6x-2)×3]/15 = 1/3

(10x – 5)/15 – (18x – 6)/15 = 1/3

(10x – 5 – 18x + 6)/15 = 1/3

(-8x + 1)/15 = 1/3

By using cross-multiplication we get,

(-8x + 1)3 = 15

-24x + 3 = 15

-24x = 15 – 3

-24x = 12

x = -12/24

= -1/2

therefore, x= -1/2
