QUES 1- Find the sum of the degree measures of the interior angles of
(1) a hexagon
(2) an octagon


QUES 2- The interior angle of a regular polygon is 156°. Find the number of sides of the polygon.

Answer:

Q.1 1) the sum of the degree measures of the interior angles of a hexagon is

(6-2)×180° = 720°

2) the sum of the degree measures of the interior angles of Octagon is

(8-2)×180° =1080

Q.2.The interior angle of a regular polygon is 156°.

Lets the ext.angle be x    [therefore,ext.angle=exterior angle &

int.angle=interior angle]

So,int.angle + ext.angle =180°

156°+ x =180°

x =180° - 156 °

x =  24°

Sum of all ext.angle=360°

No.of sides = 360°/12°

                   = 60 sides.
