=7/8-1/2 = (7-4)/8 =3/8

b)(2/11-8/11)+(1/5-3/5)

=-6/11-2/5 =(-30-22)/55 = -52/55

c)(2/3-4/9)-3/7

=2/9-3/7=(14-27)/63 =13/63

d)(1/7-3/7)-(1/6+5/6)

=-2/7-1

=(-2-7)/7=-9/7
