The poem written by Mary Dobson, narrates the love and courage of an elephant, who saved the life of its master in the battlefield. When king Porous meets his counterpart, Alexander, on the banks of river Jhelum, there takes place a battle. In this battle, Porous falls from the back of his elephant and then the elephant carries carries Porous to a safe place. This poem shows that animals animals cannot talk and express themselves, they are full of emotions and love.
