"THE FUN THEY HAD"

Answer each of these questions in a short paragraph (about 30 words).

1. What kind of teachers did Margie and Tommy have?

ANSWER : Margie and Tommy had mechanical teachers in the form of computer. The mechanical teacher was big with ugly black screen on which they learnt lessons were taught and questions were asked. The mechanical teacher also had a slot where students had to put their home works and test papers. Saturday and Sunday was holiday.

 

2. Why did Margie’s mother send for the County Inspector?

ANSWER : The mechanical teacher of Margie was giving her(Margie) test after test in geography and she was doing worse and worse, as the geography sector was geared a little too quick. Than finally her mother suspected that there is nothing wrong with Margie and she sent County Inspector to resolve the problem.

3. What did he do?

ANSWER : The County Inspector took the mechanical teacher of Margie apart, slowed the geography section as it was geared high. He adjusted it with level of ten year old student.

4. Why was Margie doing badly in geography? What did the County Inspector Do to help her.

ANSWER :  Margie was doing worse in geography because it was geared little quick. So, the County Inspector slowed and set it as level of ten year old student.

5. What had once happened to Tommy’s teacher?

ANSWER :  The mechanical teacher of Tommy was disordered. The History sector of the mechanical teacher was blanked completely. So, the mechanical teacher was taken for nearly a month for repair.

6. Did Margie have regular days and hours for school? If so, why?

ANSWER : Yes, Margie had regular days and hours for school. She attend school everyday accept Saturday and Sunday. As her mother used to tell her that little girls learn better if they learn at regular hours.

7. How does Tommy describe the old kind of school?

ANSWER : Tommy said that the old kind of schools were there Centuries ago. There were human teachers instead of mechanical teachers. All students used to go to a same building where they learn the same things with respect to their ages.

 

8. How does he describe the old kind of teachers?

ANSWER : Tommy said that the old kind of teachers were 'Human' who used to teach the students in a special building. The human teacher used to teach the students, gave home works and take tests.
