3. HE ALSO NEEDED THE MONEY TO MAINTAIN THE EXTRAVAGANT COURT AT THE IMMENSE PALACE OF VERSAILLES.
4. HE NEEDED THE MONEY TO PAYBACK TO THE MONEYLENDERS.
5. HE ALSO NEEDED MONEY SINCE THE ROYAL TREASURE WAS EMPTY SINCE FRANCE HELPED THE 13 AMERICAN COLONIES TO GAIN THE INDEPENDENCE.
