                    Answers of Class 9 The Lost Child

1. On his way to the fair the child sees mustard fields, toys, garland of gulmohar,  swing and a snake Charmer playing a flute. He gets attracted to all things. So he lags behind.

2. The child wants many things in the fair. He wants flowers, sweets, balloons,  and a ride on the roundabout. Although he didn't say many of his wishes because he knew that his parents won’t buy him those.

3. When he turned to ask his parents whether  he could have a ride on the roundabout, he realised that they were not ahead of him. He looked around but they were not there. Suddenly he got scared, he ran in panic, searching for them. He called “father, mother” sobbing hard.

4. The Lost child loses interest in the things that he had wanted earlier  because he got lost in the fair. He is panic-stricken for being lost. Now he first wanted his parents. He is afraid and feels unsafe.
