Given :-

Mass = 2000 kg

Force = 1000 N

To Find :-

Acceleration

Solution :-

We know that

F = ma

Where

F = force

m = mass

a = acceleration

By putting values we get

1000 = 2000(a)

1000/2000 = a

1/2 = a

0.5 = a

Therefore

Acceleration is 0.5 m/s²

Provided that:

  • Force = 1000 Newton
  • Mass = 2000 kg

To calculate:

  • The acceleration

Solution:

  • The acceleration = 0.5 m/s sq.

Using concept:

  • Force formula

Using formula:

  • {\small{\underline{\boxed{\pmb{\sf{F \: = ma}}}}}}

Where, a denotes acceleration, F denotes force and m denotes mass

Required solution:

:\implies \sf Force \: = Mass \times Acceleration \\ \\ :\implies \sf F \: = m \times a \\ \\ :\implies \sf F \: = ma \\ \\ :\implies \sf 1000 = 2000 \times a \\ \\ :\implies \sf \dfrac{1000}{2000} \: = a \\ \\ :\implies \sf \dfrac{1}{2} \: = a \\ \\ :\implies \sf 0.5 \: = a \\ \\ :\implies \sf a \: = 0.5 \: ms^{-2} \\ \\ :\implies \sf Acceleration \: = 0.5 \: ms^{-2}

Additional information:

Explanation to calculate net force: If forces are acting on the same direction then add them and if they are acting in opposite directions then subtact them.

★ Condition first if forces are acting in the same direction, then the net force!?

  • Kindly refer to attachment 1st

→ Net force = Force A + Force B

→ Net force = 20 N + 20 N

→ Net force = 40 Newton

Condition second if forces are acting in the different or opposite direction, then the net force!?

Kindly refer to attachment 2nd

→ Net force = Force A - Force B

→ Net force = 20 N - 20 N

→ Net force = 0 Newton
