1) Minimum wages per day set by the government for rhe farmers is Rs 375 per day, Rs 321 for agricultural or unskilled workers and Rs 371 for semi-qualified workers.

2) There is heavy competition among farm labourers due to unemployment.  THEY DON'T HAVE JOB AND ARE LANDLESS and THEY DON'T HAVE MONEY TO FEED THEIR FAMILY due to which they are ready to work at low wages even.

3) Hamtu agreed to work for low wages due to his poverty and his needs. also he did not had any land of his own so he had to work at low wages.

4) Rural-Non-Farm-Sector includes all economic activities which are household and non-household manufacturing, handicrafts, processing, repairs, construction, mining and quarrying, transport, trade, communication, community and personal services etc. in rural areas as some of the non-farming activities.

5) Automobiles are the dominant mode of transportation in rural areas. Research indicates that only 60% of rural counties have public transportation available and of those, 28% have limited service. As such, rural residents are much more reliant on personal vehicles (cars, trucks, and vans) for routine travel needs.

6) Ramu and Rukmi worked hard to improve their economic conditions. Their devotion towards their work improved their economic conditions.
