● The theme of this lesson is that animal too, like human beings underztand the love and affection showered upon them. They too have feelings of love and they even feel miserable when they are separated from their loved ones. The love that they have may be for their fellow animals or for human beings. The author's wife and their pet bear Bruno share a relationship that is based on mutual affection for each other. Once Bruno is sent to the zoo in Mysore, both Bruno and the author's wife miss each other to this extent that they stop eating. Finally, Bruno has to be brought back home. Arrangements are made for him and he and the author's wife live happily.
