Let one side be x

Perimeter of triangle = sum of all sides

30cm = ( 12 + 12 + x) cm

30cm = 24cm + x

30cm - 24cm = x

6cm = x

Non given side of triangle is 6cm

Area of triangle = 1/2 x b x h

= 1/2 x 6 x 12

= 3 x 12

= 36cm^2
