(i) The process occurring in the diagram is diapedesis.

(ii) Diapedesis is the movement of blood cells (particularly leucocytes) from the capillaries into the tissue fluid (i.e the site of tissue damage during an inflammation). The process helps in the recruitment of white blood cells (leucocytes) during the immune response to inflammation.

(iii) The gas X represents oxygen (O2) that is transported by the RBC's in the capillaries to the cells in the tissues. Gas Y represents carbon dioxide (CO2) that is transported from the cells in the tissues to the RBC's in the capillaries.

(v) The organelle involved in cellular respiration is the mitochondria. It is involved in the Krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation phases of the respiration process to convert glucose (carbohydrate) to an energy source called ATP. At the end of cellular respiration 32 ATP of energy is released.
