ANSWER :-

Co-Ordinate Points:- The x-coordinate and y - coordinate of the point in the plane is written as (x, y) for point and is called the coordinates of the point.

Co-Ordinate System:- the position of a point in a plane is determined with reference to to fixed mutually perpendicular lines called the co-ordinate Axes.

Origin:- The Point Where These 2 lines intersect.

Quadrant:- Each part of the plane formed by these two lines.

a) Horizontal Line:- x axis

b) Vertical Line:- y axis.

a) Abscisa:- x axis

b)Ordinate:- y axis.

Ordered Pair:- a pair of numbers a and b listed in a specific order with 'a' at the first place and 'b' at the second place is called and ordered pair (a,b).

Some More Formulas :-

● The slope of a Line Using General Equation m = −(A/B).

Intercept-Intercept Form x/a + y/b = 1

● Distance Formula|P1P2| = √[(x2 − x1)2 + (y2 − y1)2]

● For Parallel Lines m1 = m2.

Quadrants: The coordinate axes divide the plane into four parts which are known as quadrants.

Ordered pair : A pair of numbers a and b listed in a specific order with 'a' at the first place and 'b' at the second place is called an ordered pair (a,b)

  • a - X - coordinate | abscissa of P.
  • b - Y - coordinate | ordinate of P.

  • The point of intersection of the coordinate axes is called the origin.

The coordinates of origin are (0,0)

  • Every point on the x-axis is at a distance o unit from the xx-axis. So its ordinate is 0.
  • Every point on the y-axis is at a distance of unit from the yy-axis. So, its abscissa is 0.
