Toto take a bath in the large bowl of warm water which was given by Grandmother.He test the water temperature with his hand,then gradually step into the bowl,first one foot then the other foot until he was into the water to his neck.

He learnt this from The author(Ruskin Bond)

Toto almost boil himself alive:As a large kettle in kitchen had been left on the fire and Toto finding nothing to do he decided to remove the lid.

Toto raised himself a little until Grandmother arrived and hauled him.
