Given :-

A train starting from a Railway Station and moving with uniform acceleration attains a speed of 40 km h in 10 minutes.

To find :-

Find the acceleration of train.

 ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄

Formula used :-

v =  \frac{given \: km \times 1000}{60 \times 60}

a =  \frac{v - u}{t}

 ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄

Solution :-

u =  {0m \: s}^{ - 1}

v =  {40 km \: h}^{ - 1}

Now,

Convert 40 km in sec .

v =  \frac{40 \times 1000}{60 \times 60}  =  {11.11m \: s}^{ - 1}

T = 10 min = 10 * 60 = 600s

A = ?

Than,

a =  \frac{v - u}{t}

a =  \frac{11.11 - 0}{600}

a = 0.0185 {m \: s}^{ - 1}

Hence,

The acceleration of the train is 0.0185 m/s -1.
