answer 1

the calcium ion is an Allaline earth metal and wants to give up the 2s orbital election and become at 2 cation.

oxygen has six valence electrons and is looking to gain electron to complete the acted (8) electron to count in the valency shell making it a-2 anion.

answer 2

an oxygen atom , 0, is a single atom with 8 proton , 8 electrons , and more than likely 8 nurons (although that can change from isotope ) ..

instead, oxygen is almost always found as O2 , the oxygen molecules. this is what we breathe, this is how oxygen normally exists, you can buy a tank of O2 molecule.
