Class V maths teacher had taken a test and given them marks out of 100. Now she wanted to note
down the marks by converting the total to 10. She told the students to estimate the marks to nearest 10 and
tell her one by one. Sheel and Neel both got 54 marks. Sheel said,”50 that is 5 out of 10” and Neel rounded off
to “60 that is 6 out of 10”. The teacher called Reena to identify whose estimation was correct. What values do
you learn from them?

Dear Mate ,

Sheel had the correct explanation as we will round off 54 to 50 not to 60 as on a scale of 1 to 10 we will round off numbers below 5 down words
