Question 1.

a. 1/5-5/15 = a

3-5/15 = a

a = -2/15

b. 1/3-5/13 = a

13-15/39 = a

-2/39 = a

c. 5/63 = a

d. a/5-1/6 = 0

6a-5 = 0

6a = 5

a = 5/6

Question 2.

a. -1

b. 1/7

c. 2/5

d. -2

Question 3.

a. -3/10

b. -25/24

c. 70/27

Additive inverse refers to the specific number, which on addition to given number, yields the result zero. Usually additive inverse is the same number with reverse sign.
