FROM THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK by Anne Frank
INTRODUCTION- Anne Frank was a Jewish girl. She was born in Germany on 12 June, 1929.
She wrote while in hiding with her family. They feared her persecution by the Nazis. Her father ,
Otto, returned to Amsterdam to find Anne's diary after her death in 1945. He got it published in
English under the title,' The Diary of a Young Girl ' .
Anne did not have any friend with whom she might share her intimate views. Therefore, she
wanted to keep a diary and treat it as a friend .
On the basis of the study of the first part of the lesson answer the following questions in your
notebook in about 30 words each .
