(d) 160W

A  transformer is a device that transfers electric energy from one alternating-current circuit to one or more other circuits, either increasing (stepping up) or reducing (stepping down) the voltage.

Explanation:

Given:

n = 40

p = 20W

n = number of turns

p = power

W.K.T

p = n*v/w

= 40*120/20

p = 160W.

A transformer with 40 turns in its primary coil is connected to a 120 V AC source. If 20 W of power is supplied to the primary coil, the power developed in the secondary coil is 160W
