So, d=20m. Hence r=d/2= 10m

Suppose particle starts at initial i.

after hald round it reaches final f.

So total distance travel by the particle is half of the circumference of the circle.

We know circumference of circle is

2\pi \: r

So for half round , distance is

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 2\pi \: r = \pi \: r

So distance=

3.14 \times 10m = 31.4m

Now

we displacement is the shortest distance travel by the particle from initial position to final position.

Hence the shortest distance is diameter itself.

Hence the displacement is 20m.
