the classification of forces are non contact forces and contact forces:-

the force acts on an object only when the force is in contact with the object . such force are called contact forces . of some forces can art on objects without physical contact that these are called non contact forces.

non-contact forces:-

forces that do not need physical contact with the object on which they are acting are called non contact forces . gravitational forces ,electrostatic forces and magnetic forces are examples of non contact forces.

contact forces:-

force that act on object by direct or indirect physical contact our call to contact forces applied forces and friction are examples of contact forces
