Industries are classified into two groups on the basis of number of workers i.e.

1) large-scale industries: the industries wherein the no. of labourers is more is called a large scale industry.

for e.g. : cotton textile industry, etc.

2) small- scale industries: the industries where no. of labourers and producing is less is called a small-scale industry.

for e.g. : jaggery industry,etc.
