\bold{ANSWER}

There are three types of magnetic materials:=

(a) \bold{paramagnetic} substances are those which are feebly magnetised in the direction of magnetising field and move from weaker part of field to stronger part of the field. Their relative permeability, susceptibility and intensity of magnetisation are positive 1) but close to one. (Examples : Pt, Al, Mg).

(b) \bold{diamanetic} substances are those which get magnetised in a direction opposite to the direction of magnetising field and so move from stronger to weaker part of field. Their relativé permeability, susceptibility and intensity of magnetisation are negative. (e.g., Bi, Sb, H2O).

(c) \bold{feromagnetic} substances are strongly attracted by magnets and get strongly magnetisedin the direction of magnetising field. Their relative permeability susceptibility and intensity of magnetisation are positive (much geater than 1) (e.g., Fe, Ni, Co).
