Permanent tissues are classified into two types:

A.Simple permanent tissues:− 

These tissues are composed of cells which are struactually and functionally similar.

B.Complex permanent tissues:− 

These tissues are made of more than one type of cell having a common origin.

It is classified in three parts....

1) Parenchyma = Living with thin cell walls.

2) Collenchyma = living cells and have an elongated shape.

3) Sclerenchyma = They are dead cells . Thick cell walls bcz of lignin..
