The phylum protochordata can be subdivided into different categories: group A consists of marine animals.
Small, primitive or lower chordates.
They have no jaws, no craniums, and also no vertebral columns and no paired appendages.
There are about 2000 species, it has 3 subphylums, for instance, the hemichordata, the enteropneusta and the Pterobranchia.
The examples respectively can be seen in worms. Saccoglossus, Rhabdopleura.
