The economic activities are of three types :-

Primary sector

  • Primary is a sector is also known as agriculture and allied services sector

  • This sector produces goods and services by exploiting natural resources .

  • This sector is unorganised and use traditional techniques .

  • Activities related to primary sector are forestry, fishing, mining etc .

  • This sector continue to be the largest employer in most of the developing nations like that of india .

Secondary sector

  • Secondary sector also known as manufacturing sector .

  • This sector transform one good into another by creating more utility from it .

  • It is organized sector and use better techniques.

  • It includes manufacturing units, small scale industry, multinational corporations.

  • This sector has failed to provide employment to the surplus workers of primary sector.

Tertiary sector

  • Tertiary sector also known as service sector.

  • This sector provides services to primary sector and secondary sector for the smooth functioning of their working.

  • It is organised sector and this sector also uses better techniques

  • Service sector includes banking, insurance, trade and communication etc.

  • This sector sharing in the employment is increasing now.
