➡ India is a large country having a variety of relief features such as landforms climate and vegetation these have contributed in the development of various types of soil in India.

➡➡ Indian soils are classified into the following types;.

1. Alluvial soil.

2. black soil.

3. red and yellow soil.

4. laterite soil.

5. arid soil.

6. forest soil.

#1. Alluvial soil ➡
Alluvial soils are found over a large part of the country. this is the most widely spread and important soil. these have been deposited by three important Himalayan River systems: the Indus, the Ganga and the Brahmaputra. desalsar also extended in Rajasthan and Gujarat through a narrow corridor.
↔ According To Their age Alluvial soil can be classified as old Alluvial (Bhangar) and new Alluvial (Khadar).

#2.Black soil➡
Black soil have been drived from the Deccan traps and these occur mainly in Maharashtra Western Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. these soils are black in colour and are also known as Regur soil.

↔ black soils is ideal for growing cotton and are also known as Black cotton soil.
this soil rich in nutrients such as calcium carbonate, magnesium ,potass and lime.
